Using simple +/- to set a timeline view in a very long test project.

In normal usage LW scrubbing depends upon the resolution of the 'pointing device'. Leave aside the usefulness and practicality of working with waveform in long duration timelines. What hugly suggests is something that would improve the usability of Lightworks, everything that makes Lightworks more pleasant to use is good. Yes, I know it is not as advanced and precise way as in Lightworks, but that really works well for fast editing and does the job. I think that hugly has a different vision with this request, but if you would look at Resolve, how it handles audio scrubbing, you then know what majority of users expect to hear. BUt mouse - not so much.ДЄnything to improve on those things is welcome. In video tutorials these devices makes it awesome. But if I want to just scrub the time line and hear scrubbed sound, when pressed shift key and scrub it doesn't make the sound I expect or would be useful for me unless I have shuttle or console. And if you have keyboard and mouse only, you have only waveforms and normal playback which you can fasten couple of speeds.

In Lightworks the only way to do it is to have shuttle pro or console. Once I have things roughly arranged I do the precision editing. MEnaing that I don t want to listen to the audio normal playback, I just need to hear where the dialogue or beat starts or ends to make fast cuts etc. As I experienced majority of video editors me included use audio scrubbing feature to fast forward editing process in the time line. Unless you zoom the time line very very much, then it begins to make somewhat close to what the one could expect, but then it is completely useless for average editor when trimming and editing. I mean that moments when you would use it, it just makes super weird distorted sound that doesn t reflect to anything the audio is about. However for users that don t have any such device Lightworks audio scrubbing is useless. I heard it is fantastic with console and Shuttle. Lightworks and audio scrubbing is not really that convenient to use if you don t jave console or shuttle device. Many feature requests I had are canceled because Hugly pointed out that it is already available in Lightworks.ДЄnd as a supporter of this feature request I must add my opinion here. Hugly knows so many things about Lighworks that I usually think that person is one of the developers, because to know that this or that feature can be found there or there is so overwhelming that an average person wouldn t even think to look in there.

From my experience hugly is like a human version of Lightworks manual.
